Authentic Italian! Sooooo delicious!

My wife loves Italian and was excited to learn that Andalusia has an Italian restaurant. Our evening went downhill upon our arrival. There was only one waiter which was not enough on a busy night. The breadsticks were good butbthen we realized that the dipping sauce contained red pepper which she is allergic to. Red sauce is the base for the dish she ordered so that had to be changed. I started feeling bad and we changed our order to take it home. For whatever reason my food just didn't sit well with me. I'm not sure if we will return or not. I'll leave that up to my Italian loving wife!

They have the prices of the Olive Garden, but without the free breadsticks. There were three of us that went, I had the shrimp Scampi which looked good when it was brought to the table, but really lacked flavor, and it said it had a wine sauce but ai never tasted it. I add salt, which made me nervous because of he salt shaker was full of black specks! My sister said it was pepper but I wasn’t so sure. My noodles were cold, I asked the waitress if they had a microwave and would she please heat them up, but she said they did not have a microwave and that everything was cooked fresh. My mom ordered the Spaghetti with Italian sausage, but she did not care for hers. My sister ordered the Chicken Marcella, she thought it tasted like chicken noodle soup. The atmosphere was cold. We went out to the car to get our jackets. I really wanted to give a good review , but after 3 of us spending almost $75 combined and left all of our food there, it was really disheartening. By the way the drinks were $2.50 on the menu but $ 3.50 on our tickets, same with the side order of French fries! The price on the menu was less than the price on our tickets. The French fries were the best part of the meal. My ticked was $24.97 before the tip. We won’t be going back.

Ofelia's Italian Restaurant is a nice snug house turned cafe business. With its laid-back atmosphere amid its Italian decor, this could easily make for a romantic date night.
The appetizers were a little deviating from any I have had the diversion of eating in any restaurant previously. A crisp cut basket of toasted garlic bread sticks made from Texas toast and served with Ofelia's freshly made marinara dipping sauce. The sauce was a terrific addition and it held the hunger pangs at bay while we were waiting for our main dish. Maybe I was starving, but only crumbs were left in the basket by the time the main dish arrived.
The Shrimp Scampi was the dish of choice for this evening. This dish is served with shrimp & mushrooms sauteed in garlic and tossed with angel hair pasta. The chef added fresh basil in a white wine and lemon butter sauce, then topped it with fresh Roma tomatoes. While good for an Italian dish, it was a tad bland; even so, I did not leave any in the bowl. Maybe I fancied is bland because quite frankly, I am not a big pasta eater. 
I didn't have wine with this Italian dish, instead I tried Stella Artois imported beer. I found the beer to be a good combination, although I do not usually drink beer.
As a desert, I tried Ofelia's chocolate drizzled cheesecake. The cheese cake was heavenly, the most divine part of the meal. This was a good thing, because they had ran out of their limited desert menu.
The price range was average, and we did not leave deprived of food. The atmosphere was intimate, making it an enjoyable experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
