Best ER I have ever gone to. Don’t go to Salem, they are super busy and burnt out. Nothing against them, it happens in healthcare. Dr. Chapman, the OBGYN, and the nurses (I’m sorry, I forgot your names!) there are THE BEST medical professionals ever. I never met a doctor/nurse who took me seriously, listened to what I know about my body, gentle, and extremely kind and caring. Had many great conversations with them to the point I nearly said, “see you around.” Obviously, we don’t want to see each other around the ER again. Wonderful experience! I have gone twice to this hospital and they have yet to fail me.

This place is slow as hell, older women come in helped in seconds but my fiance who is here for a ultrasound 30 minutes. Woman who was here before us literally puking her guts out but the 60 year old women are more important i guess then someone showing signs who is just forced to sit in the lobby, also no water but they have a vending machine ? What a joke

My experiences lately with this hospital have NOT been good. Are the people kind? Yes, very kind. But that doesn’t mean they don’t walk around with their heads in the clouds. Besides waiting in the ER recently & seeing some woman walk through about 8 people, including myself without a mask On & staff looking directly at her & NOT SAYING ANYTHING, I also more recently dropped off a fecal sample for a spouse. The label had the incorrect doctor’s name on it. This was NOT put on by West Valley, btw.I included a sticky letting staff know the doctor should by PONIC & that the label is wrong. I told the woman I dropped it off with the correct dr. Well, the hospital couldn’t even get something that simple straight. The results were sent to the wrong doctor. This involves a serious bacterial infection that has been going on for several months with several different specialists involved & because of this screw up, it’s now snowballed into mass confusion by all involved. Salem Health is the worst. Gone are the days of private practices. Gone are the days of getting in quickly to see your doctor. Gone are the days of your general practitioner having the authority to diagnose more than a cold or flu. There seems to be a specialist for everything & there’s nothing your doctor can do about it. The health care system has become all about big corporations taking over, while the patients are left on the back burner. (My opinions)

Horrible doctor. I'm pregnant and in pain. The on call doc told me I probably should have stayed home and suffered in silence. Was cold and dismissive. I left after waiting 3 hours for an ultrasound which I was told would be another 2 hour wait. No compassion or kindness. The place wasn't even busy!
