Pam is amazing!!! Beautiful facility. Feels homey. More of a real neighborhood than a senior living complex. I would love to have this in Houston! We loved it.

We took a tour with my mom. Pam was a great host. She paced the tour to my mom’s ability to get around. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The staff all spoke and seemed like a real team. It a delightful tour and we left with all the information we need to know for our decision.

My father spent over a decade at Rutland Place Senior Living. He often spoke about how wonderful it was to find a "home." Indeed, Rutland Place was his home; the staff and other residents became his family. Each time I would visit him, he glowed with happiness. After we lost my mother, he went through a season of being sad and was desirous of fellowship. At Rutland, he found exactly that for which he yearned and that which he needed. When I walked down the hall with him, it took forever to make our way to wherever we were going; every few footsteps were interrupted with someone hugging him, greeting him, inquiring as to whether or not he was going to be at choir practice, making sure he knew there was a great movie being shown at the in-house theater, inviting him to dine at their table for dinner, etc. As wonderful as the residents were and are, it is the staff that places Rutland in a league all its own. Yes, the building and surroundings are gorgeous, the dining hall and meals seem as if they have been taken from a grand hotel, but the staff is what brings life and joy to Rutland! There were a couple staff members whose actions so touched my heart. One was a young lady named Tara Armstrong, who would stop by and check on him after her shift was over; there was no pay involved, they simply built a special and unique relationship. I later discovered that such relationships and acts of genuine love were the hallmark of Rutland. Sadly, I eventually lost my father. I invited any resident or staff member who would like to share at his Celebration of Life, to contact me. The response was surreal. Eventually, it was determined that one resident would share. In addition, Karen Tucker, the Executive Director, and Tara Armstrong, who performed many roles at Rutland, also shared. The words they spoke were not canned or words uttered out of some sense of obligation; their words were those of people who knew my dad in a very personal way and loved him deeply. My dad was not merely someone to pay his monthly rent, he had the honor of being part of a grand fellowship and an extended family. If you or a loved one is looking for the perfect place to live, I give my highest possible recommendation to Rutland Place. You can be 100% sure that whoever lives there will receive the very best care: medical, laundry, housekeeping, meals, physical activities, social activities, etc. You can be completely confident that you or your loved one will become part of an extended family. Rutland gave my father a quality of life unlike anything I have ever seen elsewhere. Thank you Karen, Tara, Frank, and all those who work so hard to provide an atmosphere full of love and caring, a place where my dad and others can proudly call "home." With Great Appreciation, David Kitchen (Son of Robert "Bob" Kitchen)

Rutland does not offer Assisted Living...however Rutland does offer services designed to help seniors stay independent if they need some services but not all services offered by assisted living. Such as Rutland Home Services that can provide ala carte "non medical" services such as, med reminders, transport services, laundry services, bath assistance, etc...Rutland is partnered with visiting doctors, medical testing groups, therapy groups and Home Health agencies....all with the design to help residents get the attention and help they need when assisted living may not be the most desired adorable option.
