American Comedy Co. SD is marvelous! Doorman was super friendly, wait staff was on damn point and quick, and the atmosphere was nothing short of great. Don't forget to take a pic with the creepy ol' Ronald McDonald!!! I would go back no matter who was headlining. Awesome place, potent drinks, outstanding people.

We visited the club on a free amateur's night. The host was great and did a good job of bringing a lot out of the crowd. The comics were hit and miss as expected, but we had a great time! Drinks were only $5 (not sure if that is consistent or if they had specials that night), so it was a nice inexpensive date night. We walked by a couple nights later and there was a long line of people waiting to get in, so they must have some pretty good comics coming!

Cool venue, nice staff and reasonable drinks. I have to take off one star because the minimum drink requirement is annoying. I think it's a bit much requiring 2 drinks for a less than 1.5hr show. If you don't want anything alcoholic, it's $8 for coke or water. For some of the acts, I would have rather just paid extra for the ticket. The other thing is that they end up having to take your order in the middle of the set, which is a bit disruptive for the performer.

Depends on the event (as long as they're not sold out) - but generally, yes.
Also, if you get down early enough, you can circle the block for free parking. It can take awhile though.
It's best to get there about an hour before show time. A line will be started outside the club. They will check the name of the person who bought the tickets on their list. So no need to print out a copy. Everyone in the party must present ID confirming that they are over 21. Wristbands will be provided and you will be reminded of the two item minimum inside. I hope this helps.

The night i went was on Thursday and they're given about a quick 5min rotation.
There isn't any assign seating. Just make sure to get at least a hr before the show for good seats

They definitely had horrible drinks
Yes get there 20 min early to get best seating.
We park in little Italy and dine there then uber down to the club and back, but i have a large full size truck that is hard to park down town, meter parking is free after 6 pm but those spaces go fast plan on spending 15.00 to 25.00 to park.
If u look up comedy club online, there's a number they give for any questions. Think it also gives a name you can ask for
