Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale Plantation

I have stayed over 1,000 nights at a Marriott branded Hotel. This Hotel is significantly below average compared to other Sheratons I stayed at. Let me first start with a positives. The guy in the club lounge was super curious, responsive and wanted to help. Excellent service mire commonly found in Asia or Latin America that the United States. The lobby gets lots of natural light and it appears was remodeled not too long ago. It's got your standard breakfast area, a little bar and some conference rooms. There's a fountain outside and there's plenty of parking. The reason why I'm getting this two stars is because the rooms are just very old and kind of dirty. For example, there is scum in mildew all over the bathroom. Another example of the coffee table was scratched up. Except for the mattress, it felt more like a old courtyard Marriott than a Sheraton. The room is large as you would expect in a suite but again in bad need of updating. The drapery seem like it came from the 1990s. The shampoo and soap they give you is from big bottles of fixed to the shower wall. There's some hygiene risk there given I'm sure they don't replace the whole bottle after every guest. I have included photos so you can judge for yourself. The AC unit was loud and didn't respond to the thermostat very well. I think I might have caught a head cold or something after two nights.

This hotel was beautiful! But I have to say the restaurant and bar was a huge plus! Hopeton, our bartender was amazing! He truly is the reason for the 5 star review! He was so kind and funny and also made killer drinks! I will come back to this hotel because of him and the excellent experience!

Hello, Sheraton at Plantation provided the assistance to our family at a time when we really needed it. We needed a long term stay due to our apartment being renovated. Sheraton gave us a low rate for the stay that really helped, 9 days. The staff were the best; Hinoska and her supervisor Amber made sure that everything ran smoothly. I can’t say enough good about these two ladies, they are truly professional and a credit to the Sheraton Suites business chain.

First time staying at this particular hotel. I loved it. Even though it was 12 miles away from the convention center, I didn't mind the drive because it is a world better than the hotels right by the convention center. I loved the location. Staff was very nice and eager to assist with whatever you needed. Exactly what you would expect from a Marriott property. I will stay there again and hopefully Plantation Walk will be open. Very nice!
