This bridge is so gorgeous, it's really worth a trip to Newport just to see it and drive over it. It may sound cliche, but they really don't make them like they used to.

We braved the walk over and back one early October morning. The sidewalks are narrow and a little scarey but that didn't bother us. Ones you get to the top the views are nothing short of absolutely flippin amazing! We were blessed with a clear and sunny sky and i imagine a typical foggy or rainy day would not be as pretty (ok, it would suck...). We recommend going accross on one side and back on the other to get the most of the views. Wear a coat or a jacket or whatever. Gloves too. It gets cold and windy up there!

Awesome crabbing, beautiful views. My husband and I took our kids crabbing on the pier beneath the bridge. We stayed for a few hours after visiting the Science center across the street.
