The only movie theater around the downtown area. It’s a cute old school movie theater. But being the only movie theater, as a New York native, it’s pretty hard to transition from reclining seats to this. The seats are pretty stiff and there is no reclining option neither are there any trays for you to put your nachos and popcorn on. So your lap is your tray or the seat next to you. The rows are pretty close to one another so there is a limited leg room space. The theater opens only 30 minutes before a showing so if you arrive earlier, do not fret and look at the show times. Upon entering the movie theater, there is no one at the front so you’d need to walk in further and get checked in by the concession stand. The service was okay as I was trying to call out for help in the front as there was no one there (can be seen in the images below as well) and it went completely ignored until I approached the employee by the tickets section of the concession stand. The employee at the food section was a lot more friendlier and smiley. The experience was not bad but it’s a little less technologically advanced so had to refer back to the old school times rather than the new AMC and Regal theaters.

Old style theatre in the heart of Portland. Cheap tickets and all the new movies make the nostalgic seats bearable.

The staff was friendly and cool. The decor is gloriously retro, but they may need to shampoo it. Everything looked clean... nothing on the floor til I spilled my popcorn, nothing stuck to anything or out of place, but it smells like the place you take your last real date before you give up on life and decide to rescue Jodi Foster from a life of iniquity.

One of the best and comfortable cinemas in the area. I am a regular here and love the small theater feel and the big picture options.

No, it has gotten a bit worse. The theater needs a tad bit of a renovation.

Yes, but there’s a surcharge. You can go to the theater half-hour before showing and purchase it as well.
Nope, you have to purchase tickets.
You would have to go up to the ticketing counter and show your digital ticket.
Yes
Yes, of course they do..., why would you even ask a question like that?..., (instead of calling the movie theater and sounding ridiculous). Obviously, they wouldn't be in business, if they didn't... especially in this weather.... like Duh! 😱
I saw it in Portland at Nickelodeon recently. Loved it!
$7 children, $10 adults for evening showing.
