Beautiful view of the river but like any City Walk it's not the most peaceful as they're usually heavily trafficked, you can hear the train going by tooting it's horn and there's restaurants along the way with people hanging out on the patios. For a peaceful walk I would suggest going to one of the woods or the city forest in Bangor

We love the river walk! Paved and great for walking or taking a dog. Gorgeous no matter the time of the year and it’s always kept very clean. My favorite parts are the beautiful gardens and watching the fog roll on the river - plus sometimes you can listen to concerts from the other side of the river!

I walked the full Brewer Riverwalk today with my dog and what an amazing, delightful area! It is about 1.1 miles (2.2 miles round-trip) and is very well-thought-out with tons of benches and picnic tables scattered along the way. I was really impressed with the beautiful landscaping of rock, green grass and flowers. Another pleasant surprise was the number of tables that were set up with chess pieces. There's a lovely flower garden area, a bridge by a small waterfall and bike parking. The Riverwalk also seemed to be handicap friendly with its wide, flat walkways and meandered past two lovely restaurants with what appeared to be dog-friendly patio seating (High Tide and Mason's Brewing). Highly recommend!!!

Outstanding location to walk your furbaby! Beautiful views of Bangor and the Penobscot z River! Wide pathway, and numerous benches to take it all in.
