Though I can't speak to repairs -- our car was too old to invest more money into it -- our diagnostic experience was easy and painless. We brought it in due to our axel having rusted off. The lady at the front desk was knowledgeable and efficient during our calls. It's refreshing to talk to a front-desk person who is familiar with cars rather than scheduling alone. They did not try to push us on repairs when we decided to scrap the car as it was clearly in need of more than we thought it's worth putting into it. And they provided the name of a good scrap yard upon request, which we also had a good experience with.

Do not take your car here! Under any circumstances! They took my 2007 Jeep compass to fix what I thought was the clutch. When I asked them to look it over to make sure it was even worth fixing they called me back three times with new things that were wrong with it with a total of around $2000. I said that was fine as long as it wasn’t the frame or the transmission… After nine hours of work in a brand new clutch they called me to tell me that the transmission is bad! I told them I wasn’t paying for it after speaking with the owner who “didn’t know what I wanted him to do about it” and ended up having to leave my car there with brand new tires on it and 130,000 miles on it. Absolute worst experience I’ve ever heard of in my life! Do not take your car here under any circumstances! They will screw you over!!

I came into Herricks with some problems with two vehicles. Each time I came in, they had fixed most of what I asked to be worked on however, each vehicle both times had other problems occur after they were done "fixing" the vehicles that were not a problem before. People shouldn't have to keep sending their car to a shop with a new problem that comes up under their care and then have to pay even more money for that most recent repair to be serviced. A good thing bout them is that their inspections are both quick and cheap.
