I think the individual physicians are caring and educated people. BUT there is something terribly wrong with the internal communication and follow up between the staff. Something is broken here and I really hope they can fix it. At this point all I can say is they failed us.

My entire family, including parents and husband and son, have been patients for a long time and we’ve never had a bad experience. This morning however, my husband woke up with pinkeye and was told an in-person appointment was required. The drive to the clinic is an hour round trip. At the appointment doctor didn’t tell him when he could return to his job as a wind turbine technician and then prescribed only the antibiotic ointment that causes blurry vision to be taken 3x daily for 5 days. Because this is a huge safety concern for his job once he returns he called back to request the drops for daytime use. He was told that he would have to make another appointment and make the hour-long drive back to the clinic for the antibiotic drops. The fact that this wasn’t offered at the first appointment and then required a second appointment within a few hours is so unprofessional and quite frankly unsafe (making a patient drive that far with pinkeye multiple times during a pandemic is beyond unreasonable) that I’m shocked. I’ll probably be finding a doctor closer to home. UPDATE: This evening after waiting for several hours my husband was finally able to speak to the doctor and got the new prescription without a problem. As others have mentioned, the medical staff provides mostly exceptional care, and we really really like our regular physician Dr Laberg, while the front desk staff appears to be exceptionally incompetent...

This is a review of the White Salmon office. Mother in law called early afternoon because of an infection. Receptionist told her to come right in. MIL said "it will be about an hour as I need to have get my family to come and drive me in." My wife and I get her into handicap van and arrive at 4:00 pm. They have no record of her calling, the receptionist that took her call had already left. Earliest they could schedule was 5:30 pm. Upon arrival at 5:30 for her appointment, my wife calls to check in and we are made to wait for 15 minutes before anyone comes to then screen my MIL, who is in a wheelchair. Customer service is lacking. Drs are great, front office is failing!

I have been a patient at NorthShore Medical for eight years, and live in Oregon. The providers have always been very caring & compassionate, and their guidance over the years has helped me get into the best health of my life. And the short-notice care of my father-in-law who was visiting was fantastic... it was nice to avoid the unnecessary ER visit. Well done - and thanks for putting the Community first!

If depends on your status. NS is doing the very elderly right now. You might try KVH for an appt at the Fairgrounds.
