We tasted all of their wines tonight. We liked some wines better than others due to our taste buds, but all of them were very good. I am a dry red wine or port fan and all of the Blue Ostrich wines that I tasted exceeded my expectations. I even went off the rails a bit to try out some of their sweet wines, which that type of wine is usually not my favorite. Well, the Blue Ostrich team hit a home run because I am a super fan of their sweet wines. We had dinner and multiple flights of Blue Ostrich's wines. All of which were excellent. Bottom line, going to Blue Ostrich Winery is well worth the short trip from the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. You will most definitely NOT be disappointed that you went!

This is a great place to take your wife!!! The drive to it is so scenic and the winery is on a hill so you can see for miles. We had a very friendly server that was very informative. I’ll be back soon!!! Plus you can get a great photo of an ostrich up close!!!

My fiancée took me on a surprise date here. It is a beautiful winery. During COVID-19, they allow you to come inside with a mask to buy a bottle of wine. Then you can sit outside and enjoy it. We brought our own glasses, bottle opener, and food. There was plenty of seating in the shade. Afterwards, we walked around the vineyard and saw the ostrich and enjoyed the nice weather. Their wine was excellent. We bought a bottle of their Syrah. I loved the fruity, dry, and full flavor. I appreciated that the person working there asked if we preferred dry or sweet and was able to recommend a good wine based on our answers. I also wanted to mention that I greatly appreciate the steps they have taken to make the experience safe during the pandemic (mandatory masks in the tasting room, only selling wine bottles, spaced out tables, cleaning tables frequently, hand sanitizer available, etc). If you're looking to get out of the city for a bit and for a fun socially-distant date, this is a great option!

We've been wine club members for awhile so have never paid for a tasting but I don't think its very much. Their wine is very reasonably priced and good quality with a wide variety of sweet and dry. On weekends they usually have music and a food truck or stop at Fischer's in Muenster on your way for excellent meats and cheeses. Also two other wineries (4R and Arche) are not far from Blue Ostrich.
