With this ever changing market, there is no better person to have in your corner than Jack Skovgard! He helped explain the loan process in a way that we could understand, and always made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. His creativity, patience, and professionalism are second to none. We would trust no one else with handling our loan and we cannot thank him enough for all of the work he has put in for us.

Our financial advisor recommended Jack to us for a condo refinance. We were very happy with the level of Jack's professionalism and responsiveness, day or night. The process was smooth, Jack explained every step of the way, and there were no surprises. I'd highly recommend Jack and his group to anyone!

I have worked with Jack since my first home refinance, he's been very helpful, responsive and takes time to explain all the loan jargon I don't understand! He follows up with you and wants to make sure he's doing what he can to give you the best deal. Very friendly and honest with his advice. He's also been very understanding and patient with my hectic work schedule when we are in the process of refinancing. I have worked with him a couple time to refinance and have always had a good experience.

Questions & Answers

Should I get a 15-year or 30-year term loan?

Jack Skovgard, Long Beach Home Loan: Mortgage Broker | Aug 18, 2020

A 30-year term is most common for qualifications as it provides a longer term for repaying your loan and keeps your monthly payment as low as possible. A 15-year term is paid back more quickly and with less interest accrued over the life of the loan, however because it is a shorter loan term the payment each month will be higher than a 30-year term. To see which is the best fit for you, give me a call and we can go over your loan options and which is the best fit.

How much of a down payment do I need?

Hi Kris! 3.5% of the purchase price is the minimum down payment for an FHA loan and 5% for a conventional loan. There are also loan programs that allow for as little as $0 down, however they have a strict and specific credit and income qualifications. The best way to determine your options is to give me a call so we can put together a pre-qualification and provide you the most accurate information for your specific situation.
