WHAT A PARK! Like a portal to a bygone era. Great mix of modern equipment and vintage. Kids had tons of fun!

My family just found this park a couple weeks ago and has really been enjoying it! Some of the equipment looks a little run-down while some of it is newer, but it all feels very sturdy, just needs a new paint job. I will say that out of all the parks we go to, this one has the best slides, by far! That twisty slide is so much fun, even as an adult, and a very tall straight slide. The monkey bars there are taller than anywhere else, which is great for older kids. They also have various types of swings.

Love this park! Quiet and next to a little stream. It's one of the only places around to find old-school playground equipment, which my family loves! It has teeter totters and a merry-go-round.

Not that I am aware of. I used to walk up and down the creek as a kid and remember some trails, but not anything that is kept up for public use. That's a neat idea though. The sidewalks through Southport are in pretty good shape and the older neighborhood just south of the park seems pretty safe and not busy. Plus, there is an elementary school not too far from there. A trail would be a great thing for Southport, hmmmmmm.
