I was a little skeptical at 1st due to some questionable reviews against Paula,( the camp host)Needless to say she was totally awesome and super sweet. She did pay her 1st initial visit at the camp site. She warned Us that a bear had previously passed through the campsite. She asked us to be bear aware and make sure we leave nothing out at night. We will definitely be back. Paula was on top of her job and the bathrooms were in great shape. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ keep up the great work Paula 👍

Great place. Not sure why all the negative reviews about the Camphost. She was very helpful. The only problem with the place is the highway is so nearby.

Great place! Can be busy. Be weary that some areas are reserved. For example all of the B campsites might be reserved. Has pit toilets, garbage, and lots of picnic tables.

The campground is nice but the traffic is noisy which I can understand but the Lear Jets and small aircraft is annoying in the morning taking off in the town of Alpine. Another thing is the forest service charged us 8.00 for friends to come up for 3 1/2 to have dinner which is not right. I doubt I will be back again and I have been coming here for 45 years.

Not 100% but I think so on a leash
When we were there, the trees didn't seem to have the largest trunks that would support a hammock. The spot we camped in was wide open, but if I remember correctly there are some sites that are buried in the trees.
They have both. Depends on the for walk-ins. Weekends in the Summer are very busy.
