Nice small tasting room even though the vineyards are far away.

Enjoyed our tasting at Septembre. Bob was very knowledgeable about the wines and wine making proces. Riesling and Syrah were our favorites.

Stellar, well executed wines with defined flavors and fun year-to-year tastings. We went in for a tasting, not knowing who they were, or what to expect and we left wanting to fill our anniversary box with it. Several we tasted reminded us of our favorites from Paso Robles, CA; in other words, this is a hidden gem. Each bottle costs between $30-50, but it's worth it to us. While tasting the lady engaged us throughout by asking what we thought, then offering her take on the wine. Allowing us to become educated on it's style and purpose (pairing vs drinking alone). By the end we had several favorites, but when she came back and had us taste a spice hidden under the counter with the wine, it really shined and described its purpose. Settembre is "Fine wine" and by the end our taste buds were singing and if we want a great, elegant wine, we'll be going back. Probably for an event or another tasting to better understand each style and aging differences

Questions & Answers

Hello, I have an oak barrel currently storing bourbon at a local distillery, we plan to bottle in April. I'm looking for a partner to re-use the barrel for wine. Is this something that you or someone you know would be interested in?

Hi Michael, I'm sorry to have missed this message before. Thanks for the interesting question, we don't re-use barrels from other facilities as our winemaker has selected a barrel from France with specific qualities (spice, and low toast) that he feels compliment our wines. You might have better luck approaching a brewery as I believe they re-use barrels (post wine and bourbon) often. Cheers, Tracy
