Based on my recent visit, while this hotel has a great location and seemed to be clean inside. There were other issues, but having an exterior door that does not lock was the last straw, that required us to immediately leave. Not safe! After having contacted Hotwire, this hotel would not offer a refund - even though we immediately checked out without disturbing a thing. Could not recommend this experience to anyone.

Positive: The character the hotel had and what it used to be. Negative: The cleanliness, it is disgusting. The staff is not very intelligent. My room key was given to someone else and my key was shut off on the second day. I will never be staying here again, ever.

Staff was great. We actually had the room for two nights, went somewhere else for a night, and ended up going back. There were a couple different issues we encountered, like the TV didn't work, and a billing thing with my card, but the five stars remain because the way the Staff was right on it, whatever it was, and got it handled, hospitable and upbeat. Good people, good place. Unique little hotel, and balconys with every room, I think.

Positive: It had a lot of character. It was a good price. It had a nice AC and heat setup. Negative: The room was dirty and kind of gross. There was no additional lock on the door, just the deadbolt. The Wi-Fi was not working.
