The pizza was excellent, service friendly and fast. The atmosphere and design is well thought out. Im impressed with what a terrific job of remodeling on the old building my old friend R Palmer did on making this modern old brick style building feel pleasant, clean and inviting. The various design items took some real thought and innovation. Im impressed. Definitely will come back now that I know its here. Can't believe its been here for 8 years and I didn't know about it!

Back Alley Pizza would be at home in any thriving city or college town across the country. The fact that it exists in Newton, KS is a welcome surprise. This town deserves more food stops like Back Alley. Of all the dozens of places I've eaten in Newton, this one is the best. And they are a serious contender for the best pizza in central KS.

Good wood fired pizza. Was a little disappointed that you could not fully customize your pizza. Photos online made it look like they had a bar of toppings, and you told them what you wanted, like some other places now days. That was not case, you had to order from a pre-made menu, or order a 3 topping costom pizza. Pizzas were very good, so it made up for the topping disappointment. Would definitely come back for a good wood fired pizza.

We like the pizza quite a bit. The negative rating is for the absolutely ridiculous way you have to order pizza. The app is unnecessarily complicated, and if you call, they will spend more time explaining why they won't take your order over the phone than it would take to just take your order. Then you have to go in, place your order and wait. Why do you have to jump through so many hoops just to order pizza?

Yes. As for most, no. But the lack of grease makes their boxes recyclable. I never had a problem doing so.
