Jule is not only a people person but she is honest, transparent and knows what shes doing. I called her Wednesday afternoon for information. She spent 30 minutes on the phone with me explaining everything in detail. Then 2 days later I was in the midst of a professional photo shoot. Although I felt nervous, she immediately made me feel like a friend and calmed me down. I was so impressed with the way my photo turned out, it exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be recommending Jule to my friends and family. If your looking for a great experiance with someone who is totally fun to work with then look no further!

I can't say enough good things about Jule as a photographer! She pays such attention to detail and really captures you at your best. She is professional and will provide you amazing photos you will want to share for a long time.

Amazing photographer! Her attention to details during the session had me thinking; not all photographers are created equal. The way clothes fit, or accessories you have on, the way your hair is done, the way you pose; her opinions and suggestions were on point. It was for my wife and she has had photo sessions before with other photographers. But there was always something in her photos my wife would comment about made me realize she was not 100% satisfied with them. But when she had her photo session with Jule, I knew this time it would be different. The way she made my wife comfortable from the start. My wife’s expressions were so much more natural and she beamed with happiness during the session. And the results showed. !! Highly recommend Jule.

In my 39 years of living, I've never been really happy with a photo of me. Some people are blessed with being photogenic; I'm not one of them. Long story short, I decided to partner with Jule Kim and take some dreaded pictures. The results? I'm really happy with how they turned out. For once in my life, I feel like I actually look good in my photos. Thank you, Jule, for taking an unphotogenic guy and creating something flattering.

Questions & Answers

Do you do photos for a LinkedIn headshot?

Tiffany Carter | Aug 18, 2019
Jule Kim Photography | Aug 18, 2019

Hi Tiffany, I produce LinkedIn headshot photos all the time! I'm a Seattle headshot photographer and 75% of my business is corporate headshots that people use to update their LinkedIn profile photos. I also take actor headshots and modeling headshots, which also get posted to LinkedIn profile photos for people in those professions.

Are you a dating profile photographer?

Yes, I do dating profile photos all the time! The style I offer for dating photos is natural and a little more of a candid style. I get to know the client and we end up setting the location for photos in a place you normally go, and I have you do the things you do all the time so that you feel comfortable and relaxed. My dating profile photos end up looking like they were a great photo that happened to be captured by the friend you were hanging out with in the moment. That way, the dating photos turn out to be high quality, but they're not trying too hard. How do I find good headshot photographers near me?

Hi, you can start your search for a headshot photographer either by asking friends who had photos you liked, or by searching online in Google or Yelp. Either way, you should look carefully through the portfolios on the websites of all the photographers that come up on your list. What you should look for is a portfolio that has photos that appeal to you, or with a style that you’d like for your own headshots. Evaluate the color and editing, but also look at the general mood of the clients portrayed in the portfolio. Are most of them serious looking, or are they smiley? What’s the lighting like? How have they been posed? Are the photos flattering overall? Next, you should meet with the photographers you've narrowed down to, and see how you like them in person. Ask to see their contract to understand what the terms are. Lastly, they should have excellent customer service. What should I wear to get headshot photos done?

That will depend on what kind of look you're going for and the industry you're going to use the headshot photos for. The general corporate headshot look goes for a polished appearance like a suit and dress shirt for men, and professional style dresses, coordinating tops and bottoms, or suits for women. Neutral colors always work best, but that will depend on your background. Your clothing should be well-fitting, with no baggy or loose items. Clothing and accessories that create vertical narrowing points work best, like a V-shape, tie, or a long necklace, so that the eye is drawn up and down the body, rather than from side to side. Keep in mind that lighter colored clothing will always look bigger in photos, and embellishments will similarly draw the eye. Pay attention to your body shape and how you're emphasizing your physical attributes through the colors, accessories, and embellishments you choose. https://adviceactually.com/2019/04/what-to-wear-for-a-headshot-portrait-session/
