Their customer service has convinced me to put down the down payment for Starlink. When I can I’m bailing on this monopoly internet company that doesn’t care about its customers. After having 100mps I wanted to try to save money and drop down to 50mps. I was told I could go right back. Now I try to switch back and I have to go on a waiting list? 2023 is going to be a very bad year for BCTs internet subscribership.

Our underground cable for phones was severed, by accident, and within an hour a crew was on site fixing the problem. They are customer service oriented.

Impossible to just call and pay the bill, they refuse to just take your information and pay it. As if there's a rash of scammers out there calling in and paying peoples phone bills!!!??? I finally got a live person and she refused to take my card and pay my bill. If i'm out working and need to just pull over and pay the bill real quick, I have to have my acct # with me ? and go to some PAY HUB !!!??? WHO DOES THAT ? So tired of this company and no other options for service.

I've never received even just 50% of my promised speeds. It's almost impossible to simply stream YouTube or Disney+, you'll never be able to game or run a business with this service. I'm paying ~$100/mo for 10mbps ("up to 50 mbps" they claim) on average, when it *actually* works. It goes down AT LEAST ONCE PER WEEK. Technicians come out and do something on the TV (which is my roommates service on a completely different account!) and tell me they fixed the problem, only for the internet to go down just days if not hours later. Mobile data is better than this half the time. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Dave, Great question and thanks for asking! It's important to always call 811 before digging to make sure there are are no buried facilities where you plan to dig. By taking a minute to call 811, you could prevent days of disruption to services in your neighborhood. Have a great day!

Mr. Turner, As a local, telephone cooperative, we place a high priority on providing excellent member service. This is one of the many reasons we do not engage in harassing telemarketing activities. It is unfortunate that you seem to be experiencing a high volume of unwanted calls. These types of robocalls, spam and scam calls are not originating with Beaver Creek Telephone Cooperative. We encourage you to register your number(s) on the Do Not Call Registry at www.donotcall.gov to help address this problem. In addition, we also recommend asking your wireless carrier what call-screening and call-blocking options are available to you from them. If you have additional questions pertaining to unwanted calls, please contact our office and one of our member services representatives would be happy to assist you. BCT Member Services Team

Hello, Can you tell me what is the latest ETA on the start date of broadband internet service in Highland? Thx. John Torgersen

I'd it's anything like the "broadband" i get half a mile from BCT, you're better off finding any other option, even satellite. I'm walking distance from the office and subscribe to 8mbps service, but rarely get 1mbps and at least twice a day have periods of about an hour where it's 1k down or less. Totally useless.
