Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews

Red Robin has always been consistent in their food. Consistent is putting it lightly. They have the "chain" thing down to a science. Which is, in my opinion, unnatural. Recipes do, and should, vary to some degree each time their made especially when made by thousands of chefs. How do you get the exact same result day after day in thousands of locations? Is this the freshest way to prepare food? I mean, the sheer volume of items on the menu doesn't exactly scream fresh. How much fresh food can one place keep on hand? This, I believe, is one reason chains are becoming less preferred to local establishments cooking with fresh local ingredients and smaller menus. With that being said, this particular RR was sticky. Every surface from the floors to the ceiling was sticky.

Staff was pleasant, and apologetic. Quick to fix mistakes that happened during visit. Appetizer came out after meals. Burger had onion on it although I requested no onion, but as I said the manager and the server were amazing at making sure it was corrected quickly. Great price on our drafts...always filling great tasting food! Rating a 3 just because of the mistakes.

One of the best places in Wilkesbarre to get a burger. Love the bottomless fries. Their sweet potato fries are my favorite. Love Red Robin but I almost always have an issue with the server. Now just yesterday my server was great but they were so packed and everyone was running around. I saw no manager on the floor helping out. Also there was a waitress on the computer trying to figure it out and having trouble. She asked for help from the bartender who looked over and started yelling at her and throwing her arms up. I thought that was rude. She could have helped her and not been so ... Nvm. Lol I went to get a drink and the bar tender says to wait that she has a to-go order to package. I was waiting 15 minutes for a table and all i wanted was a drink to make it bearable. Ugghh. Have your bartender focus on drinks only. When you have a bunch of waiters and waitresses that are all assigned different tasks it makes everything more confusing than it needs to be.

Most recently, We visited on Labor day, Our waitress was fantastic, very knowledgeable on the menu & recommendations. She continually stopped by to make sure that we were OK & if we needed anything, Had a new water even before I need one! My burger was outstanding, with unlimited steak fries, I can't write YUM Big enough! Always a great experience, every visit! Noticed a sign when we were leaving, Red Robin would be closed the following day, for a mental health day for their employees! Bravo 👏🏼 for taking care of your staff & Recognizing Mental health. I'll Always be back & support those whom Support Racing 🏁
