Not a very good place to stay. Only good is the location, which I would give a 4 or a 5. The room smelled absolutely disgusting, which seemed to be from the air conditioner and the carpet. I had to get lysol wipes and wipe the doors down where u close them by the handles, as they had dirt and lord knws what all over them, which they should be doing after every guest anyway and u can tell it hadn't ever been done. The bathroom was cramped, can barely sit on toilet, that was also dirty under the seat. Shower curtain has not been changed in ages, full of dirt and mold.. Found items under the bed from previous guests.(gross). Carpet will make your feet black. Batteries in remote were dead. No one available after 9pm and not until 930 or 10 am next day to ask. Didn't notice until we got in late that there was only 2 towels even though I booked for 4 guests, so we had to share. Again noone one there to get more. Beds were horrible!!! Hard as a rock! Comforters had cigarette burns in them. This was a smoke free facility but thats a huge lie as well. Mattresses were stained really bad. Apparently they enter when u leave and do not tell u this. I came back to find my ac off, and new towels. It made us feel uneasy bc they said nothing about it at check in, and there wasn't a, do not disturb sign, so we had no clue. No light outside of our door (bulb blown), which normally it isn't too bad, but sketchy hotel and no deadbolt on door at all, so security was an issue also. Bad experience all around for $370!! Spend the extra cpl hundred and go stay by the bay!

The rooms were clean. The refrigerator and microwave worked well. The pool was clean and had recliner chairs and a couple tables with umbrellas. The location was great. It was a bit pricey for the room but not for the location. I would stay there again.

We came here the night before and the rooms when we opened the door smelled highly of Marijuana and the people who were in the room next to us were rude and were yelling and fighting at the top of their lungs, when my husband asked them to please quiet down and the guy said that there was going to be a problem. The sheets are very itchy ,the pool wasn't open for the kids to swim. Glad to be leaving in the morning.

This is a cute little hotel that brings back memories of travel before there were large, impersonal chains. The king bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean. The a/c had a musty odor but that went away once it was running for a couple of hours. There's a laundry and a fish cleaning station (we didn't fish) and it's very close to any kind of restaurant you could wish for. The only downside were the thin walls. We had very rude neighbors the night we were there. Otherwise, an inexpensive and clean option for a night or two.

Are pets allowed in the hotel

Hi Kayla, Thank you for the inquiry. Unfortunately we do not permit pets.

I don't know what frightful mess the Steelhead Inn has in its dumpster right at the front of the property, but it is straight up stinking up the entire block & across 12th Street. You'd think that would be bad advertising for a tourist business.

The dumpsters at the right hand side of the property away from guest lodging. They are for the guest trash and are emptied on a weekly basis. I can't be sure of what might have been placed in the dumper on the particular day in question, but thanks for bringing it to our attention.
