This is a great park. After having a rough morning where we were almost about to give up the town for lost we hit our next spot, Pomerance Park. I would say that the map was a little confusing for someone that is not familiar with the place but we love just wandering and exploring anyway. Ok so it is time for our traveling scavenger hunt. See if you can find the places in the picture identified with Scavenger Hunt and leave us a comment. Starting with the stone "Hobbit" house we knew this was going to be a great place to explore. There is a ton of old stone work walls and walks around the park. The story of Wyndygoul Mansion was an interesting bit of history. I love that the Greenwich Preservation Trust decided to take a graffitied building and turn it into a landmark old ruin. We think that the building as it stands has so much more character and let our imaginations run with how it might have looked. The trails through the woods are beautiful in the winter and there was almost no one else around. The hour and a half that we spent here could easily have been 3 or 4. With public restrooms that are clean and environmentally friendly this will have to be a place to visit again.

It's a very nice park with little treasures along the way. I haven't explored the entire place yet, but my camera and I love visiting here. People are very mindful and socially distance is you pass them. 99% of those visiting wear their masks. It's a nice place to walk and decompress during a trying time. Mask up, stay safe and save a life.
