My little dog Luckie had a Dental cleaning. The staff Dr Little, Nickie and Trinity were amazing I feel my dog was in the best of care. If you are looking for a Doctor and a good staff to care for your loved pet. Look no further as this Team will care for your loved pet as if it were their own. They really care and are very gentle. Thank you

Tl/dr: Moving to Hawaii and they canceled our pre-flight appointment based on their own incorrect information. Now they won't see us until after our flight date. Some staff have been courteous but others have been rude, condescending, and wrong about what is required. This is our first experience with this clinic and has been very unsatisfactory and will likely cost us 100s of dollars due to their mistake and wrong information. We are moving to Hawaii soon and have gone through the pet checklist carefully as we've heard they are quite strict. We dropped our dog off for her flight clearance check on a Monday for a Sunday departure. The clinic called after drop off stating that her first rabies vaccine shot couldn't be located in their system and that her lab work wasn't resulted yet. They were rejecting the appointment and suggesting to administer a new rabies vaccine that day. We took their advice, got the shot and took our dog back to get things sorted. The rabies dose that was missing was easily located from a clinic nearby and when we looked on the hawaii.gov website, her lab was indeed resulted. After calling them several times and speaking to several different people about what is honestly a bit of a confusing situation, a staff member eventually came onto the line and proceeded to talk to me like I talk to my 2 year old when they are in trouble and having a hard time understanding something. She told me that the dog would need to wait 30 days after the shot they gave on Monday and that Hawaii requires 2 unexpired doses to enter the state. This was the first I had heard about the 2 unexpired doses so I told her that her tone was unwelcome but thank you for explaining that to me. I went to the Hawaii.gov website and looked at the checklist provided by this clinic and no where does it mention two unexpired dose, just 2 lifetime and one up-to-date. I called back to ask if the clinic had different information than I did but again was talking to different staff who I again had to re-explain the entire situation. In the end I was told that they could provide the clearance appointment but that I would be wasting my money. No appointment was available until after the day of our flight. We have called 10+ other clinics, been placed on call back listed and called this clinic everyday. I would hope that since the clinic initially rejected our appointment which was made well in advance of our flight that a little customer service could be provided and we could be seen before/after clinic hours or given priority on the call back.

They caused my cat to lose his leg! We always say "no" when we are asked if we want him to have the leukemia vaccine. They didn't ask last time and gave it to him without our consent. He ended up developing a vaccine site Fibrosarcoma tumor. They told us it was benign. After taking him somewhere else for more testing, turns out that it's pretty aggressive and that he needed his leg removed. The leg removal didn't even get rid of all of it so now we have to take him to get radiation therapy. They do don't care about animals. All they want is your money!

My dog got bitten by another dog yesterday (small puncture on his side) and I just noticed today at 1:40pm, I’ve left a message right away explaining the urgency, and have called them literally over 30 times today alone with no answer, this is the 3rd time this has happened. It’s funny because I see other people complaining about the same thing here, the owner said they’d address the team but here I am 2 months later with the same issue. If you want a vet who answers the phone, ever, DO NOT go to this banfield, and DO NOT waste money on a wellness plan for a vet that doesn’t even return your calls or care about your pet. UPDATE: I used the wellness chat, the vet agrees that he needs to be seen, but she can’t prescribe medication and every banfield within 30 minutes is booked out weeks. That doesn’t help AT ALL for a wound. What is the point of even paying for a monthly wellness plan if it takes two months to get him seen?

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 17, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
