Haven't been to the Empress since the 80's. No matter what club we went to, it was always to the Empress at 3am. Still clean, good staff, good diner food.

I'll drive 4 cities over to go here even outa my way . Gives me a peace of mind eating here. Very nice staff . Food is good and I'm not a picky eater. Go here and you'll enjoy a nice time with your family friends and loved ones.

Food not great. Ordered chicken Fingers and Pasta with butter and olive oil. I was surprised the food came chicken fingers just microwaved, and the pasta came as is pasta with butter and olive oil no garnishing like a little;e mushroom or basil leaf ... presentation wise is nothing. The Chicken fingers came friend instead of 5 pieces it came 4 pieces... . I was on speaker phone coz I was eating and can't also hear the person I was talking on the phone everybody talks so loud . The Owner or Manager came to me and very rude yelling me to shut off my phone .Not nice approach. He could have told me , Maam can you not put on speaker or can you lower the volume ? Been there many times on that Diner since we moved in Fair Lawn 2020, after that experience will never come back to that Diner anymore . I'd rather got to far and nice customer service diner rather that going to EMPRESS Diner .
