This was absolutely the best experience for dress shopping I could have ever hoped for!! True Society was my first stop on a long day of dress shopping at different stores. The gowns were all stunning and everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Cameron was absolutely amazing and made the whole process run very smoothly. She knew exactly what I wanted in a dress from the little bit of feedback that I gave. I would definitely recommend going to True Society to look for your wedding gown. I ended up going back to True Society right before they closed to say Yes!! to my dress and to celebrate with some champagne.❤️🥂

Having gone with my cousin to get her wedding dress at True Society in Lenexa, I knew after that day that when I got engaged there was no doubt in my mind that I was going to get my dream dress at the same place! Macy was my consultant and she did such an amazing job! I highly recommend this shop for getting a wedding dress! Macy contacted me several days before my appointment and asked me all of the right questions to know what I would be looking for right when I came in for the actual appointment! It made everything go so smoothly and she made the day feel like a dream! I had a truly incredible experience here. As a plus size bride (dress size 24, jeans size 18) I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to find something that made me feel both beautiful and confidant on my big day. I tried on 5 dresses that actually fit me well and looked good, but they weren't quite the one. Then my stylist, Marley, brought a dress that I hadn't even seen on the rack, and the second I put it on I got that feeling that every bride deserves when she puts on THE DRESS. It fit perfectly, it had every detail I wanted, but it also had some details that I wasn't even considering but ended up falling in love with. As soon as I showed my group their faces all lit up and we all instantly knew it was perfect. I highly recommend this shop. Their prices are fair, the stylists are all kind and very supportive of what the bride wants, and the shop was cozy while still being very elegant. I cannot rave enough about my experience here.

My experience at True Society was amazing. Everyone was so kind and also very knowledgeable about the designers and design elements. My stylist Emily was very helpful. She brought me dresses specific to what I was looking for and helped me figure out different things with each dress until I was able to find the perfect one for me in my budget! With every question or comment she had an answer. She made me feel comfortable and could express my feelings towards everything. I didn’t feel under pressure at all. I actually ended up customizing the dress I chose as it is from a couture designer and they went above and beyond to help me choose the perfect elements to find the dream dress I have always thought about since I was a little girl! So thankful for my experience! Wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Our wedding dresses range from just under $1,000 to approximately $5,000. Your stylist will work closely with you to ensure you are comfortable with the price range of gowns selected.
Our Sorella Vita collection features many gowns that would be perfect for mothers of the bride and groom—as well as any special occasion! Sorella Vita gowns are very versatile, as they come in a wide range of colors and fabrics like sequin, chiffon and satin. We do not offer alterations at our store. Our brides come from all over the United States, so we like to ensure each bride has a seamstress near her location. Each of our brides is given a list of recommendations for seamstresses in the Kansas City area.
We carry award-winning wedding dress designers Essense of Australia, Stella York, Martina Liana, designer collection Oxford Street and bohemian label All Who Wander. And for the bride tribe, we offer a wide selection of bridesmaid dresses from designer label Sorella Vita.
It takes approximately four to six months for a wedding dress to arrive, depending on the designer. Please take this into consideration when scheduling your appointment. Once your gown arrives, you should also allow six to eight weeks for alterations before the wedding. We recommend starting the wedding dress shopping process nine months to one year prior to your wedding date, so you can avoid rush fees and enjoy the experience! For bridesmaid dresses, plan to allow three to four months for shipping and one to two months for alterations. If you are working within a shorter time frame, please call our bridal shop at (913) 317-8981 and we can discuss other options with you.
Absolutely! We are a retailer of Sorella Vita and carry a wide range of sizes and colors for you to try on. We also offer individual bridesmaid fitting rooms in our private Bridesmaid Suite for your bride tribe!
Down payment is half of the total cost and you have until you go to pick the dress up to pay it off
First bridal appointments last 90 minutes. This allows you enough time to browse through our wedding dresses with your stylist, try on six to eight gowns, narrow down your selection and make an educated decision on which dress is “the one.” We never want you to feel rushed, which is why we’ve allocated a full hour and a half for your appointment.

No, we only carry wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and bridal accessories for the bride and bridal party.
