My husband and I were visiting San Diego for a conference and wanted to play tennis. We were able to easily get court time, the facility was beautiful and the pros helped my husband to get a pair of shoes in the pro shop which he had forgotten to pack! There are many courts and they are well maintained. There is a fee for the courts but it is reasonable. The club has the feeling of being very active and the regular members were very welcoming and nice. Being in the heart of Balboa Park makes it a nice way to see this amazing public space.

Not difficult. Take advantage of the doubles challenge court. It operates daily. On Saturday, the ultimate challenge court is open for 4.5 players and above.
