We had high tea. My daughter and 6 year old granddaughter. There were many different types of tea. I had hot chocolate. We had finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream. The waitress was fantastic.

I love this place! I'm from England and have lived in the US for about 6 years, coming here takes me right back home. The menu is great, but I always have the fish & chips, it is so good! There is also a tea room and a little 'English' store so I can buy a few of the things I miss from home 😊

Went here with a few friends for some lunch. We walked, but it looks like they have a small parking lot and street parking. We tried their fish and chips. Supposedly they're really good. I'd rate them a three out of five stars. The fish was pretty big. The fried batter tasted normal, nothing special. The fries were cold and not very tasty. They seemed like they had been sitting for a while. The tartar sauce was average. Came with a small side of peas which were also average. I guess I was expecting a lot more for a dish they claim is their best they have to offer. It wasn't bad, I just won't be ordering it again. It is a cool British style pub though. The servers were nice and provided good service. I'll be back.

Always on the hunt for some good fish & chips. And I may have found the one to beat in SD, where else but of course in this British pub. Really good, and authentic to be sure. But, the service was just too slow, particularly for a Monday at 2pm. I wanted to include a pint in the photo, but it just took too long for it to arrive.

If you want a belly full of bangers, beans and eggs sunny side up with ticks of toast on the square held down by the inversa effervescent reaction of Guinness as a catalyst to your morning...well cheers. I dont think an english based establishment such as this will impede your desire.
Currently the pub does not open that early. The customer demand currently does not justify bringing staff in that early. Additionally, unsure of they are capable of showing the Scottish premiership.
Blackthorn is on draft and Stella Cidre, Magners and Wyders Pear are available in a bottle.
Tables and chairs are sanitized once the diners leave.
The Shakespeare Corner Shoppe is still open. It is only the pub that has paused for business due to the recent stay at home order.
There isn't a bad time to visit Shakespeare. Live entertainment is a rarity, unless you count trivia night or live sport.
Happy Hour is Monday - Friday 3pm-7pm! Cheers!

Yes, I've seen babies, toddlers, and school age children at happy hour/dinner.
Yes. Can get loud but not in a rowdy or disorderly way. Blues games draw a crowd so parking can be a challenge, and they usually fill to fire marshall limit 30 min or more before really big games.
No
Yes they will.
Shakespeare Pub won the award for best fish & chips in the country recently so you won't find better!
