The first room we had had NO AC and this was the week they had a heat wave....90 degrees during the day! All we had was an OLD box fan....we upgraded to a 2 bedroom room that had a small window unit. Both rooms smelled like urine, the beds and pillows were GROSS, the kitchen floor was filthy....this place is not very good at all....needs serious upgrades. The office staff were friendly enough but the rooms are AWFUL....The place felt dirty, carpets are stained and gross, it's just nasty here....this was the only place close to my families house so we didn't have much of a choice as to where to stay...sure hope next time we can stay somewhere else....I feel so dirty and gross right now...will be happy to go back home...Sorry Westwynd but this place needs to be remodeled...

Not fancy, just comfortable. It felt so much like an apartment I would live in that I forgot to put the "do not disturb" sign on the door, because why would anyone service this comfortable place? Many of the rooms have small kitchens with a stove and oven. Very clean, I felt right at home. Also, the manager really gives his employees a chance. He'll allow them free rent if he hires them so they can get on their feet. I highly support business like this-- not expensive, run well, and treats their employees well. If all businesses ran this way, the world would be a better place.

I frequently have traveled to Gig Harbor, WA to visit with my Father and I always stay at the Westwynd. The staff have always been very friendly, helpful and courteous, in fact, I consider them "family" so to speak at this point! The rooms are very comfortable and furnished in a tradition that fits the NW area surrounding the motel. There is a convenience store nearby, as well as nice restaurants and other stores as well. Over all, my stays there are very relaxing, refreshing and peaceful...just what an out of town trip should be! My deepest and sincerest thanks to "all" of the wonderful staff that treat me and my Dad so well!
