After getting into Seattle on Thursday night and heading to my Brother's house. First thing Friday morning we headed to Taylor Shellfish, and I've definitely been dreaming about Shellfish. Taylor's did not fail to satisfy! It's been Pacific Northwest Folklore & Landmark since 1890. Taylor's is located at the bottom of Chuckanut Drive. So if you have a Motorcycle, Hot Rod, or Sports Car, you will want to take that vehicle on Chuckanut drive, it's been a Pacific Northwest Legendary Road for years. The views of the San Juan Islands are absolutely breathtaking, no matter the weather. And when you finish that ride or drive, at the bottom of Chuckanut is Taylor's Shellfish. They have freshly farmed oysters, clams, muscles, gooey ducks, and the most amazing pickled herring you've ever had. We ordered up some fresh oysters on the half shell. Three different breeds of oyster. Two of the oyster breeds are small and the other breed is a midsize. All three of them were exceptional, raised right there in Samish Bay. The day was very nice, so we were able to sit outside and enjoy our feast. And you know if you're ordering fresh Shellfish, you're required to order a beer, or wine. So we opted for a couple beers, and again the most amazing fresh shellfish I've eaten in years. I would also like to point out that Taylor's Shellfish was started a mere 5 years after my friends at 1855 Black Angus Beef. Obviously, some very smart people back then had the same passion for Quality Food's as you and I. Fortunately for you, Taylor Shellfish is available to anyone in the Continental United States. So if you would like to order oysters, clams, muscles, gooey duck, merchandise and more, go directly to their website and check em out. When you place your order, do me a favor, and tell em Art says Hi!

Beautiful location with a hipster vibe, music, fire pits and views. The oysters were fantastic & the chowder was delicious. Service was quick, but there was a line building fast so you want to get there early if you want to pick the best table. Will absolutely come here again and recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for fresh, local oyster spot!

Beautiful place for an afternoon! And delicious oysters. Definitely worth it for the atmosphere - but we were surprised that the cost of oysters were more expensive than what we see in Seattle (at Farmers Markets and places). We figured they'd be a bit less expensive on-site. But maybe you're paying for the experience and pretty views.

The best seafood. We got the shucker’s dozen, smoked clam chowder, mussel escabeche, and a Cesar salad. Our favorite was probably the chowder, but you can’t go wrong getting anything on the menu. Everything is so fresh and delicious!

They are excellent. Limited persons allowed in the store. Outdoor seating with heat lamps
There wasn't any bbq when I was there Saturday.
Yes, bring a mask until you are seated at your table. Limited seating and no you-shuck, but they will shuck for you.
That's a great question. Calling once they're open would give you the best answer.
Depends on the day but most of the time I have been there they do!
What do you mean, do they carry salmon. Yes, I think the sell some in cans or jars and probably some shrink wrapped in filets. If your wife loves seafood but cannot be around it, which is perplexing, then she would absolutely love but should avoid this place like the plague.
You'd have to ask them who their distributor is, I believe they sell globally.
Yes they do... Self lighting so you need it to burn a little while, personally, i bring some mesquite charcoal and a lighting cone. Better flavor and less paraffin smell!
Can i preorder sacks and baby oysters for planting on my beach?
