We've eaten here twice because the okra is SO good - bbq wings were so so. However, tonight I got a vegetable tray (for more okra lol), with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The first time, mac and cheese was okay but tonight it was runny and blah. The worst part was the mashed potatoes - there's so much garlic in them, they're inedible. My guys got the burger with fries. Burger was okay, had a seasoning on it that neither of them liked. They did eat the fries. I'm not really sure we will return for anything other than okra since so much food was thrown out tonight.

Absolutely love the fried chicken and chicken livers. I have moved away from the area but still stop in when I visit my family in Pittsboro. The service is good and everyone is friendly. Nothing fancy just a comfortable place to eat.

Delicious fried chicken - meaty, perfectly seasoned, generous sized pieces, not greasy. A large assortment of vegetable options and great southern desserts are more than you’d expect. The shop is warm and homey. It's a great place to order for large groups. The staff is super friendly. Say hi to Lamont, the top chef!

Collards were great! Nice smokey flavor. Crispy chicken well seasoned, pork ribs juicy and flavorful. Unfortunately, i received two of the tip pieces, lots of meat, but almost no bones. Peach cobbler was supposed to be home made, it was, but made with canned peaches. Very reasonable and good value.
