In addition to being very talented, Melanie is also very personable; we spent four hours together for my designs but the time flew by! I was modeling for an Indian bridal photoshoot for Oregon Bride magazine so I was sent to Melanie to get henna done beforehand. I was mindlessly running errands like we all do when I stepped into her parlor and the world stopped. I was transported to a safe, cultural, artistic space that feels very energetically protected. She is a henna wizard and regardless of any special occasion I think women should take the time to pamper themselves with this wearable art. I am getting compliments everywhere I go.

I requested that she incorporate some special details into the design, and she did an amazing job executing my vision. It came out even better than I imagined! I received loads of compliments on the henna, and I know that the gesture meant a lot to my husband's family. I wore the henna with a Western wedding dress, and it looked very tasteful. I originally dreaded sitting in her chair for 3.5+ hours, but she created a very relaxing environment at her studio. I definitely recommend hiring Melanie!
