I live in the country surrounded by woods. I have an outside light that comes on at dusk and turns off in the morning. The light quit working over a month ago. I have called Consumers Power three times now, and it's still not fixed, with no idea of when it will be. In the meantime they have been charging me for a light that doesn't work. The person I talked to last seemed very surprised and somehow offended that I asked not to be charged for the time it hasn't been working.Their customer service is very very poor, and very customer unfriendly. Even the tone of voice of the person I talked to was not friendly or helpful.

Constant power outages. Heavy rain, light snow, a semi strong wind all take out the power for 5-20 hours at a time. This has been happening almost every day for the last 2 weeks.

I mean, there’s nothing really you can do if you live rurally. We live in Eddyville. Wind blowing? Power goes out. Heavy rain? Power out. Slight snow? Power out. Too hot? Power out. Too cold? Power out. I don’t know if it’s our power grid or what but we lose power constantly. It’s a huge disappointment, I get it. We aren’t top of mind but if you live rurally BUY A GENERATOR.

On 3, separate occasions last winter, I had trees fall & take the power line down on my property. 3 different times in 3, consecutive months. All after hours. Consumer power was here right away. I didn’t have to wait for hours like I have with previous power companies. They’ve always been professional & efficient. Today, I came home to the power out AGAIN. This also happened to be after hours. Consumer power came out immediately to remedy the situation. They’re always respectful and FAST! I’ve never had such excellent service! I am not sure why people feel the need to blame the power company when their power goes out? They had NOTHING to do with it. They can’t control nature or accidents caused by OTHERS. In fact, Consumer Power, when you think about it, are the unsung HEROES! They perform a dangerous job so we can have the luxury of our power. I love Consumer Power and feel they deserve nothing but 5 stars. Luke and Brandon and Cody are the BEST!!!

They also have an outage map that you can use to search addresses on and it should give you a pretty good idea. https://www.cpi.coop/outage/

Where can I get data on CPI? Like number of customers served. Size of service area. Stock symbol on NYSE. Lots of things on the CPI web page but they don't answer these questions.

CPI isn't a publicly traded company so no stock symbol. They are owned by their members and are a cooperative. This page says all of the other things you are looking for. https://www.cpi.coop/about-cpi/

If you visit their website they have an estimator tool and a way to apply for someone to come out and take a look with you if you need. Visit https://www.cpi.coop/construction-revisions/ and look on the left hand side of the screen.
