The sandwiches are 5 star! Great, unique flavors and a large variety of meats/combos. If you are not sure what to get, get a sandwich that comes with a dipping sauce. 3 stars for the service. Usually being run by young adults/teenagers that are not in a hurry to get you out the door. And this isn't a "kids these days" diss from someone in their 30s. There are plenty of other places around being worked by young adults that don't have this issue. I ordered ahead online and walked up to the counter to ask if my order was ready. Of the three people working, one was hustling making an order for a customer and online orders the other two were just standing around. 15 minutes later someone finally realized my order had been ready the whole time.

I was in a remote part of Colombia and an American had started a delicious restaurant there that he said was inspired by Tubs Subs. When I first came here I felt like I was visiting a historical place. I keep coming back. I love love love the joker sandwich.

Tubs is a local sandwich shop with two locations on the northern end of Seattle. The Lake City Way location is usually busy all the time, they have lots of employees working, their service is friendly and their prices are good because their sandwiches are really big. You should order ahead of time online to make life easier for you for sure. Parking here can be a pain as well since it's right off the main road. Can't go wrong with the Italian or any of their chicken sandwiches.

I have passed by Tubs so many times but only ventured in recently. I had heard they have some of the best sandwiches in the Seattle area and I agree with those sentiments wholeheartedly. The restaurant is somewhat spartan but not unwelcoming. Many people seem to get orders to go. Tubs has a long list of sandwich options and interesting combinations of ingredients. After some deliberation I chose the voodoo chicken and then I also tried some of the firecracker. The firecracker is good and I understand why it's a favorite, however, I really enjoyed the voodoo. The thing that surprised me the most was how amazing the bread was. It was warm and crusty but soft on the inside. The contents were great too. The chicken mixed great with the voodoo seasoning and lime juice. The pepper sauce added a nice kick to it as well. Tubs is one of Seattle's great sandwich shops. I regret not visiting sooner but am definitely going to return.
