The staff at the hotel were excellent. Had a nice conversation about a shared interest with the front desk people. Check in was smooth. Shuttle to and from the airport was quick. The one bad thing was that I had to make the reservation quickly due to missing a connection due to weather delays. The reservation was a pizza package, which offered a room, a large pizza and a two liter bottle of soda for the rate. The hotel can't accommodate getting the pizza and soda on short notice, which I totally understand. The staff got me something to eat at the restaurant that was closing in 15 minutes onsite. So hungry from my 20 hour travel thus far, that I ate it and they were awesome to do everything they could to get me something. I would just say that if the package can't be accommodated, then don't offer it on the website. I didn't get any food at the airport since I figured I would have the pizza.

Stayed overnight as we had to be at JFK for 4.55am the next day. Room was comfortable and clean, Decent quality shower. As is normal in the US, there was a good coffee machine but no kettle for making tea :) When I used the bar I had to wait a while before anybody arrived to serve me but, when they did, the service was good and the lady serving was friendly and helpful. Two out of the three draught beers on display were not available and I think I maybe got the last pint out of the barrel, but it tasted ok. The bourbon was fine! Shuttle bus to the airport was great and ran on time, although it only runs every half hour. Overall, very happy with this as a pre flight place to stay and will definitely use again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The front staff especially Lashaya was very friendly and courteous. We got the room we wanted. My kids and I enjoy plane watching and she gave us the best room with a splendid view. We spent 6 hours watching planes. Priceless life memories. The room was very clean and modern. My only thing was the bathrooms even though very clean were small. My wife is claustrophobic so this was a little issue but we managed to get through it. We dined at the in house restaurant for breakfast. It had a very good selection. The manager was very courteous too. Overall a very nice hotel with a wonderful view of JFK airport especially if you are an aviation buff like us.

I was impressed by this hotel. I've always thought that staying at a hotel near the airport you'd hear all of the air traffic. However, the hotel was quiet, clean, cozy and had all of the conditions for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and up-to-date. The amenities were great. Overall this hotel is the perfect choice for an early morning airport departure or a comfortable stay in NY - with or without a car as the shuttle can get you to a transit hub. I'm glad I decided to give the IHG another try after a not so great experience at another location.
