My dad went in for tests two days ago and then came home the next morning (yesterday). A few hours later a Dr. Smith called saying that one of the tests came back positive with a blood infection and to come back ASAP. So we came back around 6pm. Another ER doctor, Dr. Donald E-something, was there and explained that my dad needed IV antibiotics. They put him in a triage room and did more blood tests. But the antibiotics never came. My dad sat in a chair in the triage room for 8 hours overnight until I got there at 6am to bring him home. He could have EASILY been administered IV antibiotics while sitting there. But all of a sudden, there were no doctors around and none of the other staff knew anything about it. How can the communication be THAT bad? AN ER DOCTOR TOLD US TO COME IN TO THE ER. Another ER doctor confirmed the need for the IV antibiotics when we got there. I thought everything was under control and my dad would get the emergency care that A DOCTOR told him he NEEDED so I went home and slept. I woke up to a million calls from my dad, from midnight to 5am, saying they had no bed for him and weren’t giving him treatment. Why did Dr Smith tell us to come back in? There is no excuse for that egregious of a lapse in communication besides negligence. His file was readily available and the staff on hand were absolutely capable of administering IV antibiotics, especially after the NEED was CONFIRMED by two different doctors. So now my dads at home with pneumatic bacteria in his blood and no antibiotics. He’s been having a slew of awful health issues lately and just sat up all night in a chair in a brightly lit room, undoubtedly further weakening his already compromised immune system. Great job St Francis ER. Disgusting. Edit: oh, and I didn’t even mention the first night he stayed overnight for tests and no one gave him water for 3 HOURS despite him begging. Hes old and sick and can’t get up and move around by himself. Three. Hours.

I can't believe that this is a functional emergency room or even hospital. Thank God my friend didn't have an emergency that required immediate attention because she got none. I know that with Covid things are stressful right now but consistently being ignored by nurses and getting punted down the line that someone else will give us an answer only for no one to come over is a joke. The rating for this hospital at a 2 star at the time of this review quite frankly is to high. I'm so glad I'm no longer in CT and everyone I know here is trying to leave because I couldn't imagine anyone I care about needing immediate medical attention and this being the experience they receive. Truly an abysmal hospital. Update -5 Months later my friend got an actual diagnosis of Tachycardia that's going to be fixed through surgery. 5 MONTHS LATER. Had this hospital done an adequate job of treating her instead of ignoring her while we were at the hospital. Thankfully she was taken to real hospital this time and received real help from people that actually care. I cannot emphasis enough the risk you're taking with your health if you choose to go here.

Wow went in with severe pain in my back . Was greeted immediately. Sent to check in and then brought to a room in less than 5 minutes being the seen by Doctor/ nurse and other staff. The short of it was treated , had cat scan was diagnosed with kidney stone and was out the door in one hour and fifteen minutes. Thank you guy's very impressed with the care I received.

Currently in the emergency room since 11:08 this morning it is now 308 none of the people who were here when I got here are here anymore and half of the people who came after me have already been seen .. I went to a simple doctor's appointment and was told I have to go to the emergency room immediately the emergency room staff know this, and when I ask what's the reason I'm still sitting in the lobby she told me we have a fast track section of the emergency room to get people in and out who don't have true emergencies, we are waiting for bed space in the back four people like you with true emergencies??? I don't know but that made no sense at all to me.... Very frustrated keeping me around a bunch of covid patients and we have no symptoms that are possibly making my situation much worse than it is.
