I liked the Tram ride around the wildlife area. We got to see some unique animals. A few were interested in watching us as well.

The San Diego Wild Animal Park. AHEM ooops old habits die hard. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is a great place to see animals and the African Tram guarantees a great view of many. If you'll be arriving before 10am head to this attraction first if you don't want to spend your rime waiting in line. Otherwise make this an after 3pm event. Regardless the time you ride you'll be able to view many animals across the 800 acre reserve.

This was a wonderful way to get some truly up close and personal looks at many of the magnificent animals they have in the park. We initially thought it was a surcharge and were going to pass, but it's included with your visit. We had a giraffe grazing so close you could almost touch him. Amazing!

The African Tram is included with your admission. On a slower week day we were only in line for about 10 minutes. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the vast Safari and its’ many residents. Great narration along the way, one of our favorite parts of the day.

You can do private tours as well for an extra fee.
Yes at the front ticket counter outside the park or at customer services desk inside the park.
The tram is under 30 minutes. You will not be able to hook up on the tram but as others stated, there are charging areas. You can also check in at the ranger/medic station and they can transport you to the tram.
All members or public enter through same park entrance.
