One of the best wedding dress experiences! I was having a second wedding and had a very specific dress in mind and didn't want anything too expensive! I really wanted a ballgown dress and was worried there wouldn't be too many options in my size 2! I found the most perfect dress that fits me perfectly within my appointment and could not be more happy (and it was only $150 with no imperfections)! The workers were so nice and they let you find your own dresses which I personally loved. Would 100% recommend this place for any bride, so many options and it's for a great cause!

I was a little worried because it was by appt only and I only had 60 minutes (I assume because of pandemic restrictions). It was a fast and furious process, but I do not regret it! I found a very unique and gorgeous dress and at unbelievable price. I was not ready to make a decision that fast, so they let me set it aside until end of day. I came back in less than an hour and purchased it. Couldn't be happier.

Best value for the money - and my purchase went to a great cause. Wonderful experience at Brides for a Cause. I got two-for-one Mother of the Bride dresses for an unbeatable price. Both are gorgeous and well made. My daughter's bridal dress is stunning. So happy we found this boutique.

Such a WONDERFUL experience! Very nice facility and very friendly and helpful employees. You have to set your expectations correctly to get the most out of this shop. It's not a boutique bridal shop where the employees dote on you; they guide you a bit but mostly leave you alone to choose dresses and try them on. I visited two bridal shops before this one so I had a general idea of what I was looking for/looked good on me and how to get into the sometimes-complicated dresses. I think this BFAC has over 800 gowns available, jumpsuits, separates, and accessories. The prices and selection are great!! I got a column gown with cape (after thinking that I wanted something very different for my wedding) for $250, and I just went to get a bridesmaid dress (tons of options for these, too!!) and only paid $39 since it was the 22nd of the month and everything was 22% off! (Usually all formal-wear/bridesmaids outfits are $50 here.) I highly recommend this experience for all folks! There is zero pressure to buy; they just want you to have a good experience knowing that you're supporting many organizations to empower women and survivors!

Emma, I checked and no they do not take prom dresses. But she did tell me to have you check abbyscloset.org hope that helps?

Does it have parking or should we plan to be there earlier to look for a spot?

There is no dedicated parking. There's a paid lot across the street, otherwise you have to find a spot.

I want to donate my wedding dress, but it was professionally cleaned & boxed and I can't remember what size it was. Can you take the boxed dress or do you need it opened so you can see the size? It's probably about an 8.

I think if you bring the boxed dress, in the end, it doesn't matter. They take a range of sizes, and they will still eventually take it out. Bring in box and then they can tell you if they'll take it.

Do you need an appointment to try on dresses?

No. It's drop in only.

What would be the cheapest price that I could find at the portland store? What is the price range there? Is there still a 20$ rack? Im looking for a dress to match my high schools dance theme... Fairy tales

Allison Homer | Aug 18, 2019
Lilo Alfaro | Aug 18, 2019

Probably not. The cheapest I've seen are $75, and that's given a 50% discount on some of their cheaper dresses. It's certainly worth a look though, if you're in the area. You never know.
