When initially browsing the menu online I knew my party of 4 would enjoy...and my oh my did it live up to expectations! Our group started with the ahi tuna and the goat cheese spinach/artichoke dip at the recommendation of Patrick, our waiter. He was spot on! For those of you that have yet to be graced with Patrick as your waiter I'll explain. His personality is the epitome of a fine dining waiter. He recommends and you would be silly not to just let him order for you. Every single dish/drink he suggested was very very good. The sour cherry bourbon manhattan and blueberry bramble were hits with our group, not surprisingly a must try according to Patrick. Then it came to dinner choices. Patrick said we must try the porkchop and Peking duck and I'm so glad we did. The pasta was also ordered with our group and was delicious as well. We capped our night with mixed berry cake and cheesecake with accompaniments on the side, another spot on recommendation from Patrick. The takeaway from this review should be Terrapin is a must try when in the Hudson Valley area. If you have the pleasure of being waited on by Patrick you are in for a treat!

I took my fiance here for his birthday dinner. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some Kentucky bourbon drinks. Once our reservation time came we moved to the dining room, what a beautiful place and atmosphere. The waitor was such a fun character, he was the perfect balance of funny/friendly and personable. He was spot on with his recommendations. I enjoyed the maple double pork chop while my fiance had the short ribs. Dear God it was fantastic. We also were blown away by the macadamia fried calamari. Totally worth the time, money and beautiful memory made here.

I really enjoyed my meal here (the duck quesadilla), but my boyfriend was unhappy with his duck sandwich because of how messy it was and that it didn’t seem well prepared. Outside of that the staff was excellent, very very nice and helpful when providing info on some menu items. On top of all this the restaurant also looks really cool on the inside and outside.

Everything we tried was very tasty and enjoyable. Lamp chop, empanada made with ricotta and pumpkin or butternut squash, burger, ravioli with similar filling to empanada, sundried tomatoes, cream sauce and candied pecans.

Covid safety precautions are taken very seriously at Terrapin. Masks are required for everyone in the building whenever they are not seated at a table eating. We've installed dividers along our bar and re-arranged seating in the bistro and dining room to accommodate social distancing, with a minimum of 6 feet between all tables. We're lucky to have extra high ceilings and great airflow throughout the restaurant. Seating is currently at 50% capacity. All staff are temperature checked daily, wear masks consistently, and follow strict sanitizing and cleansing procedures, including sanitizing menus and frequently touched surfaces between uses. KN95 masks are provided to all staff members. Touch free menus and curbside pick up are available. Beginning mid-March, we'll also be expanding our patio dining and offering tented outdoor seating with heaters.
Yes. Anything that is vegan is marked with a (vg) after the menu item, anything that can be made vegan with modifications is marked with (mvg). Some of our most popular vegan dishes are the Farmer's Market Crepes, Vegetarian Green Wrap and Veggie Burger. Your server will be happy to help navigate the menu.
Hi Rita - dogs are only allowed outside on our patio during the warm months due to health department regulations. Thanks for checking!

Yes, we are open 7 days a week.
Our bistro is open from 11:30am 'til around midnight. Our dining room opens at 5pm for dinner service and we seat until 8:30 during the week.
Yes! Our dining room will be opening at 4pm for dinner service. We'll be serving regular menus plus some holiday specials. Reservations are highly recommended for our dining room. Our bistro will also be open all day (11:30- late night) serving regular menus, on a first come, first serve basis.
I want to clarify that dress is casual in the bar area and at lunch in the actual restaurant however during dinner, it may require nicer attire in the restaurant. On the Sunday we were there, that was our observation.
As a patron, and one who's eaten there fairly often, I've not had that experience. I would address that issue to the management and see what their response is.
