If you are looking for fancy, this isn’t the place but we had a very good breakfast with a great cup of coffee. I had the pancakes and they made them exactly the way I like them, almost like crepes. My companion had a breakfast sandwich, which she really liked. This is a family run business and they work very hard to make your breakfast enjoyable at a good price point. If there was 3.5 stars, that is what I would give them.

A real oasis if quality and value! Especially for breakfast, Lake George can be a difficult place to find a good meal at a reasonable price. Everything on the other tables looked quite tempting, even the coffee. The food and service were great, couldn't be happier with the experience! I'll definitely be going back.

On a weekday, I came into this cafe w/ my minor child & my senior mom, we waited for exactly 6 mins standing while 90% of the indoor tables were empty. The waiter that seats people passed directly in front us 3 times, w/o acknowledging us or asking us to wait a moment (not a big deal, but I’m used to good customer service that maybe includes hello or nod). However, he did find time to tell my child to move out of the way & put his palm on her as she was standing in the hallway waiting, not to his liking. After he took an order, served another & was going to get the food for the next table=3rd time he passed, we asked if we could seat ourselves or if we would be seated soon-to this he replied “you will be seated when I seat you.” I was shocked, again, no good morning no I’m sorry for the wait, no I’ll be right with you, then when my mom asked if someone else Can seat us-a younger waiter said can’t you see that we are all busy, to which we were shocked because the restaurant was mostly empty, and that waiter was for outside where there were 2 people at 2 tables. & the older waiter that was supposed to seat us, after he was about to pass us a 4th time said: in fact I’m not going to seat you at all. We were not rude, in fact we didn’t even say anything when he told my child to move in a very rude manner and no excuse me-nothing, like if you were miserable then don’t come to work to take it out on customers haven’t said or done anything wrong. I said: sorry you’re telling us to leave because we asked to be seated, and he said yes we don’t have to serve you, at this point the blonde lady in the photos said yeah we don’t have to serve you if you don’t want to wait - so you can go someone else if you’re impatient and you can’t wait to be seated, we were the only ones there waiting and being ignored. I said OK & I said I will leave a review on yelp and proceeded to take a picture as I was leaving per their request (as my 70 yr old mom raised her voice saying they have no right to tell us to leave for asking to be seated). I have live photos which can attest to this, the blond then said you’re threatening me - I guess she meant by taking a photo, I explained to her first of all I’m a former prosecutor and an attorney & further, my photos are live so you can’t say I threatened you by taking a photograph. Anyway, that’s my review I don’t know if anyone else had similar experiences, but I never used bad language or was rude even after my child was told to move and after he said I will seat you when I seat you. Overall, be aware of possible discrimination, because although the adults in my party were Caucasian, my daughter was black and she was the one who was told to move out of the way like a dog instead of a child or a human being w/ an excuse me or please or thank you, I very rarely if ever I have written a restaurant review about service, but I sensed the older male waiter was angry from the moment he spoke to my daughter like that and took offense that my 70-year-old mother really wanted to sit. So his response after being so rude to a child is not surprising-which exactly is why I was not rude & extra respectful asking about the seating situation (being extra careful to his attitude) but it clearly backfired because they added disrespect to rudeness to people that were willing to seat themselves & just inquired after already being ignored & misspoken to. After reading the other 1 star reviews I am not surprised that other people specifically wrote about the nasty rudeness of the owner at the counter, she is pathetic & miserable & needs to find a new line of business - it’s unacceptable to treat customers *Repeatedly* in the same manner, the other customer in these reviews was exactly right- this place was the only one empty while all the others had lines extending across the whole sidewalk, which is why we walked in here, and we learned our lesson quickly as to why. We went five minutes down the road to lone bull where even the teenagers had immaculate customer service skills, The line was huge outside & yet we sat in 3 min.
