Keep in mind this review was when I attended last year. My experience was so bad, I had to write a review. Every time I think about the instructor, it irks me. The guy teaching the class was rude and impatient. He lived in his van and would smoke weed while teaching. He even exclaimed to me, "Why didn't you watch YouTube videos before you got here?" Well, I am a customer and am paying you to teach me. If I wanted to learn on my own I would have not come here. The guy at the front desk was rude and could use improvement in customer service; however, I will say that the owner who I contacted on the phone was polite and courteous. It might have been a lack or desperation of employees at the time.

Hood river waterplay accommodated a last minute request for jet ski rental. Thanks Sierra! We had a great time on the Columbia. Beautiful views on a sunny day. We did not find the river to have much traffic at all on a Thursday so we had a lot of room to play with. One thing to note is that the location is tucked away behind a best western

Would give zero stars if posable. Super bummed as on the phone all sounded great. Had a class set up, made hotel reservations and even had family come out to watch the kids learn to wind surf. We get there and the instructor sitting in the parking lot tells us we can't do the class because of no wind. We were fine with that as we are all beginners and ask why we were not contacted to cancel. We still wanted to do the class. We were then told the office was closed up and locked and the person in charge was out paddle boarding and had the keys. We then saw jet skis and asked if we could rent those... Nope! Complete waist of a day off. Definitely not recommend !!!!

Not ideal, but certainly reasonable for the frugal tourist with patience and limited expectations. I would go back because our instructor was 🤙, but the overall vibe and service at front desk could use a customer-centric retooling.
