My steers they butchered tasted like the freezer was off, I had to throw my meat out and am still hearing about the taste of that meat today, the meat both smelled bad and tasted bad, this was a 15 month old steer, I also had 2 pigs processed and gave them to my kids again, a rancid smell was present and was easily identified in the taste, a lot of money and meat wasted here. Will not be back

Our family has used Dunham’s for over 4 decades. What pleases us the most is the double shrink wrap. The meat lasts a lot longer in the freezer and you can see what it is by looking at it. The family atmosphere dealing with Terry and Julie, who currently own Dunham’s, makes it fun. We have butchered 5 beef and 5 hogs a year for our customers and in 40 years have had only one complaint but that customer still uses Dunham’s for his beef.

1,300 lbs of meat from 2 cows received 1 tri tip 1 1/2 lb, no tender lion at all. The T-Bone steaks were missing the best part, missing other cuts also. When we called to see if we missed a few crates of meat they said no. Not impressed 👎🏻

Let me just say this I WORKED for them. Had to quit because the guy i worked with got stoned and came back in and messed everything all up because he was high as a kite. And cussed me out and threw things at me and threatened my life because "it was me." The management was careless. All they cared about was getting a customer and the money and nothing else. Not the product. Nothing. Just the money. Happens a lot with small businesses ran by families or whatever. Awesome people. Terrible at running the business. The machines i worked with were probably 40 years old. We did NO cleaning when working with them. Not one minute of it. It is UNSANITARY. GROSS. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE I PROMISE. I sincerely apologize to all those who ever brought their meat and had us (me) work with it. I had probably 30 mins of training. I am sure you worked so hard for your meat (hunting it) (raising it) It was all a waste. I am sorry for my part. Please please please go to a REAL place. I am truly sorry! READ OTHER REVIEWS!

Properly

How do you quarter meat for sale? I have three cows at a butcher and they are telling me you can't mix and match for a quarter. Federal law?

No you can't. In order not to have to go through an FDA inspected slaughtering plant, you have to sell "shares" of the cow. So the person has to own part of the live cow to be allowed to take it home and eat the cow without it being FDA inspected. You can't mix and match because they don't own little bits of all three cows.
