We were a group of 6 people. So disappointing for our guests here in St Albans. Service was horrible food was cold and food wasn't served at the same time. Had to continually ask when the plates were to be served only to return them back to kitchen. Quite expensive low quality, very embarrassing.

Fabulous pub/restaurant ate there 2days in a row. Sat at the bar good service comfortable atmosphere. Delicious fish & chips. Hubby enjoyed his mushroom burger.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I believe they did something to our food…I ordered take out and the price they quoted me didn’t match their online menu and when I asked for a discount the “manager” said Ill give you a free side of fry which is maybe $5….I said okay fine, clearly they need the money more than I do. When my husband went to pick this up, one server refused to give him our food and the other laughed in his face, he felt uncomfortable and paid for the food anyway and left a big tip. I called and complained and they said they would give me a gift card…then I called back today to give me the card and she refused to give it to me. I asked to speak to the owner and she hung up. I believe they did something to our food and I threw it away and wasted $50. DO NOT EAT their food.

Overall, good experience, but not great. Pros: -service was wonderful. Our waitress was kind to our kids, knowledgeable, happy to serve us and very accommodating to my every request. -the jalapeño burger my husband ordered was probably one of the best burgers I’ve tasted anywhere in the state. Cooked medium to perfection. -ingredients were incredibly fresh! -food was out of the kitchen super fast! -we got some popcorn to munch on as we waited for our food. Cons: -saw the owners son help himself to a handful of popcorn, from the machine straight to his mouth. I had to wonder if he washed his hands, or did that all the time. -expensive, specially for the area being right outside St. Albans. -I ordered the seafood platter and the seafood portion was very small, specially compared to the price. -I ordered mashed potatoes instead of fries and they were completely tasteless. -the batter on the seafood was also bland. Even with very fresh ingredients you still have to make food tasty. Atmosphere: looks rough on the outside, but it’s quite welcoming inside and for a random weekday there were plenty of patrons and it made for a very comfortable lunch. Overall: we will be back when we are ready to pay good money for good burgers. As for seafood, I’d rather go Jeff’s seafood instead.
